Dresden Long Night of Science 2022

On Friday, July 8th, 2022, the Long Night of Science took place in Dresden. This year we were also part of the event. At our stand, we presented interested visitors with a clear overview of how ultra-short-term tempering works and the areas of application of this technology. Our physics lab technician Lucas had built a demonstrator especially for this, so that you could simulate lightning yourself. In addition, we were of course available to answer any questions the curious visitors had.

We were amazed at the interest shown by the mostly very young audience in flash lamp technology and we hope to have inspired one or the other for science.

BlitzLab Symposium: "Ultrakurzzeitprozessierung: Transfer in die Industrie"

From April 5th to 6th, 2022, our BlitzLab Symposium on the topic: “Ultra-fast processing: transfer to industry” took place for the first time. The program of the event can be found here.

As one of the first events to take place at the HZDR again, we had around 40 company representatives and scientists on site. The content of the event was to discuss the possibilities of treating materials close to the surface using ultra-short-term tempering for various areas of application. In addition, our tempering laboratory could be visited after the lectures at the event.

We are very happy about the consistently positive feedback from the participants and hope to be able to repeat the event in due course.
